When reading an aviation related publication ones get used to find an acronyms glossary - normally placed after the index; and also a few Latin abbreviations e.g: ACDM for Airport Collaborative Decision Making, ASMGCS for Advanced Surveilance??, etc.(an so on) the former is Greek.

Nowadays it is very common the use of the e-mail to delegate duties.
I personally have my doubts that a few lines in an e-mail would clearly define duties, authority and performances better than for example a video-conference or the traditional F2F meeting. |

I've discovered a METAR or TAF reader and decoder online. I presumed the existence of these kind of utilities, like Cristobal Colon anticipeted a shorter way to travel to the Indias - that entailed a big time-saving to reach the aimed objective.

One thing I've learnt is that approximatly 90% of the time oneself spend in a corporation is feigning, one is feigning during meetings with peers, one is feigning most of the time when informally discussing with a director, one feign at the cafeteria. I've suspected this during ten years.... but till today I haven't had confirmation it. How I did it? it's simple I confronted my opinion with that of an independent opinion. |

We are now suffering for fashion or whatever fever of Aviation Operational Safety. Everybody talks about Operational Safety. One of the reasons is because the set up of a Safety Management System is between the obligations of the airport operator in order to ensure that operations are carried out in a demonstrably controlled way and are improved where necessary. |

Why can't the boarding pass solely exist in digital form just like e-tickets which exist in the airline's database from the time of reservation? This would only require a passport to be scanned at the boarding gate to be checked against the airline database, in the same way as is done at self check-in kiosks.
