We can do attitude is missing from teams because Everybody opts out of the "we" part. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.

An electronic mailing list or elist is a special usage of e-mail that allows Anybody to scatter information to Everybody. When Anybody selects the reflector address (this is the e-mail address of the elist) as the recipient of a message, will send a copy of that message to Everybody.

What do you mean "We"? They ask. It's so easy to not be part of we, so easy to make it someone else problem: so easy to not to take responsability as a member of whatever tribe you are part. Somebody could have done it! but Nobody did it.

Sometimes It's missing because people disagree about what"it"is. If we don't know what the goal is it is unlikely you are going to find it.

Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody confuse cynicism with realism, is afraid to say "can". Everybody thought Anybody could do it. Nobody realised that Everybody wouldn't do it and Anybody would rather say might or even probably won't.

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have.

Just about everything worth doing is worth doing because it is important and because the odds are against you. If they weren't then Anybody could do it, so don't bother.

Succesful people rarely confuse a can do attitude with a plan. but they realize that one without the other is unlikely to get you very far.
